Smallbore Prone Rifle Matches
The purpose of the current smallbore prone rifle matches is to offer an entry level introduction to competitive shooting. Usually, the first goal of a new competition shooter is to find the capability of his/her rifle and their personal capability. They will be primarily competing against themselves. It is always challenging to see if the next group shot can be smaller or better centered than the previous group. Past competitions have included some of the best smallbore shooters in Nebraska. It is always interesting to see what kind of equipment they use and the scores that are possible. Really good shooters are always willing to pass on advice and good tips for better shooting. Equipment allowed will be any smallbore rifle, .22LR or 17 cal. Rimfire only. Any sights are allowed. Sand bags, bipods or any front rest is allowed. NRA Smallbore Prone rules will be used as a guide, but this is not an NRA or CMP sanctioned match, just fun shooting.
These matches are open to the public. Competitors must be able to legally possess a rifle. Juniors must be accompanied by an authorized adult for the duration of the match.
